The author

Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, which features a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
